Inspiration for the Creation

Since I am adding this information in a way that will contribute to the community of building blogs, I made sure to pay close attention to my personal tour this morning to give you the most accurate information as possible.

Nicolas Fouquet was a sponsor of the arts, always showing his love by taking part in the arts some way or another. When he became the superintendent of finance for King Louis XIV, Fouquet wanted to flatter the king by creating what will become the Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicomte. He gathered up his architects who could put his vision into a real visionary piece of architecture. It became the most important Chateau in France in the mid-17th century; the combined architecture, interior decoration and garden layout characterize Louis XIV style.

Currently, Alfred Sommier's descendants live in and manage the house, and as it is recognized as a historical site, it is open to the public regularly.
